Blazer of a 1935 Peace Dollar PCGS MS66+
The 1935 is the last Peace dollar from the Philadelphia Mint. It is typically seen in MS65 and lower grades, although Premium Gems are collectible for patient specialists. This one exhibits highly lustrous, color-fee surfaces and excellent eye-appeal.
The PCGS population is 132 with 16 graded higher.

None Graded Higher – 1942 Walking Liberty Half Dollar NGC MS68
The 1942 Walking Liberty half dollar, struck during the midst of World War II to the extent of more than 47 million pieces, is a common coin which can be found in circulated condition in bags of 90% silver to this day. That said, this issue is far from common in this exceptional state of preservation. The NGC population is just 13 with none graded higher. This one is delicately toned and pristine in its appearance.

Dazzling 1881 Trade Dollar NGC PR67 Cameo
The Trade dollar was not produced in business-strike format after 1878, but the Philadelphia Mint coined a limited number of proof coins every year to satisfy collector demand. This led to a short-lived speculation in Trade dollars that crested early in 1880, leading to a series-record proof mintage of 1,987 pieces that year. By 1881, the demand had dropped off considerably, and only 960 proof Trade dollars were struck. In addition to the smaller mintage, the 1881 issue was plagued by poor workmanship, and most examples seen show areas of flatness on Liberty’s head and the upper stars, due to improper spacing of the dies. One of the reverse dies was lapped, resulting in a loss of detail in the eagle’s feathers. Few examples show the desirable Cameo effect. This particular survivor is color-free, with clear, deeply reflective mirrors and loads of eye-appeal.

THE Single Highest Graded -1863 Seated Liberty Half Dollar PCGS PR66+ Deep Cameo
The Philadelphia Mint struck a small production of 460 proof Seated Liberty half dollars for collectors in 1863, at the height of the Civil War. The generously frosted devices on this beauty stand out in stark contrast to the deeply mirrored fields. Better yet, the contrast is even more pronounced than is apparent in our images. Light iridescent patina in shades of olive, blue and copper, among others, graces the peripheries – more noticeably so on the obverse. This example is the only one to have received this grade and designation from PCGS with none graded higher. It also has the distinction of being the only PCGS DCAM of any grade for this date.

Gem 1870 Seated Liberty Dollar NGC PR65 Cameo
A fairly generous mintage of 1,000 Seated Liberty dollars was accomplished at the Philadelphia Mint in 1870, but the issue is much more difficult to locate than the large production total would suggest. It is likely that many coins remained unsold and were melted after the end of the year. Today, the issue is quite elusive at the Gem level, and finer coins are very rare. Silver Consumption in Global Automotive Sector to Approach 90 Million Ounces By 2025; Should Challenge Silver Usage in Photovoltaic Industry
With modern cars using more silver than ever in their
advanced technology components, the worldwide
automotive sector could need nearly 90 million ounces
(Moz) annually of the metal by 2025, according to a
recently-published report by the Silver Institute.
In four years, silver consumption in the automotive
sector should rival that of the photovoltaic industry,
forecast to reach 98 Moz in 2025, and currently the
largest application of global industrial silver demand,
according to the report Silver’s Growing Role in the
Automotive Industry, produced on behalf of the Silver
Institute by Metals Focus, an independent precious metals
consultancy.
The report, part of the Silver Institute’s series of Market
Trend Reports, examines trends in automotive production,
including the growth and evolution of hybrid and battery
electric vehicles. It also addresses transportation policies
that favor vehicle electrification in some of the world’s
most important vehicle markets.

1895-O Morgan Dollar PCGS MS62+
This Rare Morgan is a Definite “Plus”
There are a great number of 1895-O dollars available in the range of Very Fine to low AU, but in Mint State the population thins out by an order of magnitude, with most of those coins in the lower Mint State grades of MS60 to MS62. In MS63 the 1895-O is rarity of great achievement to acquire. In his Guide Book of Morgan Silver Dollars, Q. David Bowers writes: “The 1895-O emerged as the single circulation-strike variety that is not known to have been a part of any Treasury releases via bags. … I have heard suggestions that from several dozen to a couple hundred Mint State coins came out of the Treasury Building in the early 1950s, but how they would grade today is anybody’s guess. Uncirculated coins of years ago are often classified as AU today. I have found no account or even a rumor of any being a part of the 1962 through 1964 Treasury release.” The one offered here is considerably more lustrous than seen in our images.

1846 (Medium Date) Seated Liberty Half Dollar PCGS/CAC PR62
Extremely Rare
The 1846 half dollar displays two date sizes–Medium Date and Large Date. The two varieties are easily distinguished by inspection of the 4 in the date. The Medium Date 4 is connected between the lower serif of the crossbar and the base, whereas the Large Date 4 has a noticeable separation in this area. Almost all of the proof 1846 half dollars are of the Medium Date variety. The example offered here is lighter and its surfaces, noticeably more reflective, in-hand. The proof mintage is unknown. However, the number of survivors is low – probably less than two dozen. The PCGS population is only 2 with 9 higher.
