In the absolute sense, BD-1 is fairly plentiful for an early half eagle with perhaps 175 to 250 coins known, per John Dannreuther. But the population thins considerably in Mint State. The NGC population is a mere 3 with 5 higher, none finer than MS64. The one we offer here boasts a sharp strike and frosty surfaces.
